Simultaneously with the change of facilities, the wholesaler also announces the appointment of Paulo Almeida as Country Manager in the Portuguese country.
MCRthe first national wholesaler of new technologies and computers, opens an office in Portugal, specifically in Lisbon. Until now its main office was located in Oporto and now it will be located in the Portuguese capital, specifically in the Espaço Amoreiras - Centro Empresarial e Comercial LEAP in Lisbon.
Simultaneously to the change of facilities, the wholesaler has also announced the appointment of Paulo Almeida as Country Manager in the Portuguese country. All these changes, together with the expansion of MCR's sales team in Portugal, are a reflection of the investment and value bet that the Spanish wholesaler has been making in the Portuguese country since 2006.
Paulo Almeida, who was already part of the MCR team in Portugal as Telecom Sales Director, has been promoted to the position of Country Manager with the objective of developing new projects offering the most complete global solutions and to address the development of new business for the market.
His appointment responds to the company's strategic development strategy planned for 2024 in the neighboring country, as well as to the company's growing presence in markets where the sales opportunity is increasing.
Paulo Almeida, with a wide experience in consumer electronics and a close direct contact with distributors and manufacturers, has acquired the necessary skills and knowledge to face this new challenge. Now, with the assumption of responsibility for the entire MCR business in Portugal, his main objectives will be to energize the IT channel (an area in which MCR started its activity with numerous integration products), as well as the development of new brands.
"We want to offer the Portuguese distribution channel all the necessary support and the best solutions from leading brands to respond to the growing needs of the market."
In addition, the scalability of GPON allows the network infrastructure to grow along with the demand for the number of connected devices while maintaining optimal performance. As passive networks, GPON significantly reduces maintenance costs, optimizing resources and reducing both operating and energy costs in the longer term. This is crucial for the profitability of hotels and resorts for which efficient management is key... for fast connectivity.
